Help me transition! đź’–
Hi everyone!
I’m trans and currently pre-HRT and pre-surgery. I waited 20 months with no response from the NHS and finally decided that I have to go privately if I want to be on hormones in the next 3+ years. It’s affecting my mental health massively, I’m terrified of strangers because of misgendering or potential violence because my title is “mr” but I still look very feminine. I can’t bind often due to chronic pain so HRT and top surgery are the only ways to stop this being a problem so often.
Privately sadly is expensive! The appointments are £250 each and I’ll need at least 3 of them. They’re also in Scotland so I have to travel which is also expensive. I’m having to stretch my budget to the absolute maximum and only living on the very very basics that I’m able to. Eating and paying for things like rent and bills will be difficult due to how much this all costs so the only thing other than the appointments that any money would be put towards would be put towards helping us eat and pay for our bills.
If anyone can help towards the costs that would be incredible. If you aren’t able to help towards the costs then any help with signal boosting this would be wonderful!

My first appointment is on August 13th at 2pm! I’ve booked all the accommodation and paid a £50 deposit so I still have £200 left to pay and to book buses (cheapest way to get there).
