man i am tired. i dont go a single day on this website without seeing someone in a lesbian’s inbox asking how theyre a lesbian if they dont use she/her pronouns or if they id as nb or telling a lesbian they cant hc a fictional character with no confirmed sexuality as a lesbian cos she’s been with men. i’ll only see bi hcs brought up in opposition to lesbian hcs and i think bi women deserve better than to be a talking point against lesbians having harmless fun. and i get that a lot of you are genuinely confused on the gender non conforming pronouns and lesbians being nonbinary but the lesbians you’re asking answer that question like twice a week. i see people conflating every single last lesbian with transmisogynists every day and trans lesbians deserve so much better than that. i see men every day who conflate wlw with straight girl fujoshis and their rampant hatred for straight girl fujoshis is justified, but there’s such a thin line between that and blatant misogny and they’re on the edge. i see men who think that because they’re mlm or trans they get a say on wlw issues, men who think because they used to identify as wlw they still get a say on our issues. i see people every day painting lesbians the monsters of the lgbt community, painting us as even more monstrous than our straight oppressors. i see “lesbians CAN be abusive or predatory!” on every positivity post assuring us that our love isn’t inherently either of those things. it hurts too much to be mad so i’ll just be tired. i’ll be tired and ask all of you to please, please treat lesbians better. treat wlw in general better. we don’t deserve this
