a jewish kid was murdered by a nazi last week in california and almost none of the articles about it are mentioning that he was jewish or that his murderer was a nazi

he was taken into the woods by someone he thought was a friend and killed. hits pretty close to home bc multiple relatives of mine, including my great-great-grandfather, were taken into the woods by their own neighbors and killed during the holocaust

Jewish and openly gay. This article is the most frank about it that i’ve seen.

Blaze Bernstein. Only 19 years old. Killed about 3 months from his Birthday.

He graduated from the Orange County High School of the Arts. He was on break from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was the managing Editor of Penn Appétit. Intending to Major in Psychology, minor in Chemistry… planning to pursue Pre-Med.

We should focus on him, not his killer.

Also, to correct my original posts, it was a park but not the woods (sorry, I’m an East Coaster and just assumed park meant woods), and it’s not clear they’d been friends. Woodward was likely pretending to want to hook up with Blaze.
