So, I don’t really talk about my personal life on here for many privacy reasons, but my situation is getting to the point that it outweighs that fact. For many years, I’ve been living with emotionally abusing parents. Examples of such: getting yelled at for several hours in a row for a B in middle school; my very first flip phone destroyed because I wanted to call my best friend in my room, whose contact I have unfortunately, forever lost; being forced to kneel for hours and being yelled at for lying about my grades; not really allowed to visit friends’ houses unless for projects, because they don’t trust the parents (despite me going to a private school); having a baby monitor in my bedroom until I was 18; being unable to have any real furniture for myself in my room apart from a bed and a nightstand with a lamp; having to have the computer screen always watched by my parents when I’m at home; car is constantly GPS tracked. They don’t accept my identity as a genderfluid bisexual, and are very homophobic. Despite being in college now, the invasion of my privacy hasn’t ceased and their presence has become very taxing. I hope you may understand.

Why am I asking you for money? It’s to save my sanity and my mental health, really. My plan to use your money is to be able to find an AirBnB to stay for the winter break. Currently, the cheapest price for a local AirBnB is 661 dollars for that duration, and I will have to either pay all of it at once or pay half of it now and then half of it at the beginning of my stay. Either way, I don’t own that sort of money. I understand if you aren’t able to contribute, but please reblog this post so that others may be able to see it and spread the word.
