Kanaya’s whole story’s theming about motherhood is really wild. Like her having the weight of her entire species reproduction being placed on her shoulders whether she wants it or not, being shot through the womb and having to live on as an extended metaphor for the grief of infertility. That’s some buck wild imagery to use on a 13 year old character.
