The Sentinel islands have a rumoured population of around 40-66 people like presently, and you’re trying to introduce diseases to these people who have no immunity to them because you want to spread Christianity even tho they don’t fucking speak English… and then if you get killed by them, that’s your stupidity, no one else should care
missionary dumbass: hey I’m going to literally act like it’s 1650 and convert this protected tribe to Christianity
if you’re nonnative and you come at a native person with “oh we should celebrate the GOOD things that europeans brought over–”
no. fuck no. absolutely FUCKING not. do NOT pull that shit. that is racist bullshit and you’ll be fucking eaten alive. you’re telling a native person that the amount of DEATHS, the genocide of people and culture and the erasure and violence that we STILL bear on a DAILY BASIS, is somehow justified by the corrupt, anti-indigenous governing structures that europeans decided they would use. you’re telling us that the ends justify the genocide that we still suffer from.
On Saturday, November 17th, the Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) party voted to pass a resolution that would deny recognizing gender identity theory, during a three-day convention in Toronto.
PC Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Tanya Granic Allen proposed the resolution, which reads, “Be it resolved that an Ontario PC Party recognizes “gender identity theory” for what it is, namely, a highly controversial, unscientific “liberal ideology”; and, as such, that an Ontario PC Government will remove the teaching and promotion of “gender identity theory” from Ontario schools and its curriculum.”
The motion follows the PC’s decision to rescind the updated 2015 sexual education curriculum introduced under the former Liberal government, and reinstate the curriculum from 1998, which excludes topics such as gender identity and online safety.
Since the passing of this vote, numerous members of the transgender community have spoken out to condemn the PC’s decision, advocating for policies that protect the rights and safety of trans and gender diverse peoples.
Please help me make a perfect Christmas for my sisters
I wasn’t entirely comfortable with doing this at first, but my mother and I agreed that this is probably the best way to recoup our losses
So as some of you may know, my family (aka my dad and two youngest sisters living in Nigeria) were robbed. One of my sisters was molested and they lost a lot of important things like food and electronics. They were able to replace most thingsbut were unfortunately unable to buy a new Wii U, which was also stolen in the robbery.
This event has been incredibly traumatic for my younger sisters and i know losing something that they had a strong connection to hurts them immensely, among everything else that happened. If any of you are willing to spare cash, i would really appreciate donations to help me buy a new console for my sisters
I would really love to afford to buy a new system to surprise them, so please, if you have any extra cash, please donate to my paypal: paypal.me/repomantis
if you cannot donate, that’s fine! please just reblog this around so others can see
Slight update: turns out we lost a few more things
TV
Shoes and backpacks
Jeans
Laptops
Any donation helps!
Thank you all so much who have donated so far, seriously my mom is incredibly emotional right now!
But please don’t stop! We really need any help we can get!
If you also wish to mail things to me or contact me about helping me save up/replace these things, please contact me at lesbianperil#2524
“A Tokyo municipal official, the first openly transgender person to seek or win elected office in Japan. She was elected in April 2003. Kamikawa, then a 35-year-old writer, submitted her election application papers with a blank space for “sex.”
She won a four-year term as an independent under huge media attention, placing sixth of 72 candidates running for 52 seats in the Setagaya ward assembly, the most populous district in Tokyo. Despite an announcement that the government would continue to consider her male officially, she stated that she would work as a woman. Her platform was to improve rights for women, children, the elderly, the handicapped, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
In April 2007, she was re-elected to her second term, placing second of 71 candidates running for 52 in the same ward assembly. She is the only openly transgender official in Japan at this point.” xx
