I don’t think I ever really experienced Kanaya from Homestuck the way I was intended to. In my head, Dialogue With Initial Caps has – for reasons I cannot fully explain – always been associated with the vocal style of Patrick Warburton, and while I don’t have an inside line on authorial intent, I’m reasonably certain that’s not how she’s meant to come across.
*kronk voice* YEAH, I THINK THAT’D BE Really Fucking Super
I’m pretty sure imagining the phrase “Really Fucking Super” in Kronk Voice has broken something in me.
(Oh gods, it’s stuck in my head now. Imagine Kronk Voice saying “Impromptutations”. It’s a thing of terrible beauty.)
